Rounding off Morocco

Last night in Morocco

Moulay Bousselham turned out to be the meeting point for travelers. First of all we met Eric from Family Berteau On The Way (french)  who we first met in Greece. Eric and his adorable family are taking a year out travelling Europe. We also met Steve (Silver Drifter) who strode over and introduced himself from the other side of the site after reading our blog update he received by e-mail that morning! The evening was rounded off by fellow traveler, Ric (Vantastic Journey) joining us, a camp fire and plenty of fish and wine last supper style!

Brimming our tanks with diesel we headed for the ferry and the crossing back to Algeciras was one of the calmest crossings we've been on. Disembarking, we made a bee-line for Lidl to stock up on booze and pork products before opting for a quiet overnight stop over in La Linea, outside Gibralter.

We have lots more to write on Morocco over the coming weeks since we have received countless e-mails from our followers expressing an interest in embarking on a similar trip.  The whole 40 days cost us under £800 covering over 2,000 miles and staying mainly on campsites - that's less than £20 a day! We can't wait to go back!

However we couldn't move on without mentioning Catherine and Chris from The World is our Lobster, whom we spent all of our 40 days in Morocco with. Having met through a mutual appreciation of each others blogs I don't think either of us anticipated spending the whole trip together. As it turned out we got on famously!

To pacify the continual Moroccan inquisition they eventually resided reluctantly to being our 'parents', settling on the good looking one (Sophie) as being their daughter after an awkward meal of which we had to play brother and sister. In their new parental role they turned their noses up at our store cupboard of packet mixes (except for the authentic Tandoori mix!) and taught us a range of culinary delights cooked from scratch. We've never done so much washing up in a frantic attempt to redress the balance!

Thank's guys for making Morocco the experience it was!

Here are a couple of photos from our Moroccan Trip!
